August 9. Day 221. He works hard for the money

You really have to admire someone who gives up on the normal nine to five to follow a dream. Taking that jump and flying off into the unknown is scary stuff. Brett Hansen is such an individual. He wanted to be a puppeteer and so one day decided he would be. That  is gutsy, seriously gutsy. And just because it is your dream and your passion doesn't mean there might not be times when it's a case of "be careful what you wish for". Brett doesn't strike me as the type who thinks like that but there may well have been times at South Bank today when he had cause to question his career choice. For one it was pretty windy which creates issues for the puppet theatre. And then there was the issue of crowd control. Without a dedicated front of house support crew keeping the distance between an excited pint-sized audience and the furry performers is an issue. But if Brett was concerned by any of this he certainly didn't show it. Like the total professional, the show went on and the audience and their adults totally loved it. The kids were on their feet and cheering and there was quite the line up for a photo with Troggg (With three Gs, the middle one is silent)  and Brett after the performance. For free Sunday morning entertainment for kids it doesn't get much better than that.
